Krippa Family Psychological & Wellness Services is seeking a therapist to join our Cornelius clinical team providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and their families, with an emphasis on play therapy and developmentally appropriate approaches.

We are looking for a clinician who genuinely enjoys working with children and teens, understands the importance of involving parents and caregivers in the therapeutic process, and wants to become a long-term part of an established, collaborative private practice.

Our Cornelius location offers a welcoming environment for both clinicians and families. Staff also have access to the community's lake and two recreational pools, providing a unique workplace setting outside of the clinical day.

Our clinicians have the independence to develop their own therapeutic style and areas of expertise while having access to experienced colleagues for consultation and collaboration. Administrative support allows clinicians to spend more of their time focused on providing excellent clinical care.

This position focuses on providing outpatient therapy to children, adolescents, and families, with an emphasis on play therapy and developmentally appropriate approaches.

The therapist will have the opportunity to build a caseload based on their clinical strengths and interests while working with children and teens presenting with a range of emotional, behavioral, developmental, and family concerns.

We are looking for a clinician who understands that effective work with children often extends beyond the therapy room and values collaboration with parents and caregivers as an important part of treatment.

As a therapist on our Cornelius team, you will:

Provide individual therapy to children and adolescents

Provide family therapy and collaborate with parents and caregivers as clinically appropriate

Utilize play therapy and other developmentally appropriate therapeutic approaches

Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain appropriate clinical documentation

Collaborate and consult with other members of the clinical team

Communicate with schools, physicians, and other treatment providers when clinically appropriate and authorized

Participate in ongoing professional development and opportunities to expand your clinical skills

We are looking for a clinician who is clinically thoughtful, dependable, and genuinely enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families.

The ideal candidate:

Holds a North Carolina clinical license as an LP, LPA, LMFT, LMFTA, LCMHC, or LCMHCA

Has experience working with children and adolescents

Has training and experience in play therapy and is comfortable incorporating play-based interventions into clinical work

Understands child development and uses developmentally appropriate approaches to treatment

Is comfortable involving parents and caregivers in treatment when clinically appropriate

Can build authentic therapeutic relationships with both children and teens

Is open to feedback, consultation, and continued professional development

Demonstrates good clinical judgment, professionalism, and reliability

Is interested in becoming a long-term member of our clinical team

This position requires approximately 25 clinical hours per week, primarily providing individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and families. Afternoon and evening availability is required to accommodate school-aged clients.

Compensation ranges from $72–$100 per clinical hour, based on licensure, experience, and qualifications.
